Dossie is one of the most solid blokes you will ever meet. He is always checking in on people and the last bloke to expect anything. Some of you may be familiar with his instagram profile 'Dossetorandco' or 'Choppersforcharity'. We were lucky enough to interview Dossie to find out a little bit more about him and how he goes about building bikes.

Early HD Evo Chopper (The Dreamer)
When did you get into bikes and why?
I got into choppers heavy 14 years ago. Initially, it was through an American downhill mountain bike racing friend who told me about bobbers. He was talking about stripped back Jap bikes but it got me in the world; searching and learning as I went.
First road bike?
My first road bike was a Yamaha Virago 250 lol.
How do you approach building bikes? What is your process?
I approach building bikes pretty organically. I like to have a few basic ideas or a silhouette I'm trying to achieve and then piece it together from that. I'm big on it having a cohesive look all over. That's why I like to roll with it as it comes together.
Where did you learn to work on bikes?
I've learnt mostly by trial and a lot of error. But the passion for making machines and work items has got me through a lot of setbacks. I've had some basic help from older friends along the way but I'm more obsessed with creativity. Looking at other bikes and reverse engineering is a skill of mine that has taken a lifetime to get to a steady place.
How would you define your style?
My style is just a love for early 60's style bikes, so I'm just using them as a massive influence and inspiration constantly.
What's your workshop setup like?
My workshop is a walled in deck/pergola at the moment. After my divorce we moved out of the home where I had a nice little chopper shed. So shits everywhere and working off the floor. It's good at least I have a place for the bikes.
Any projects in the works?
My new evo chopper is basically there, just getting a new carb and then it's shake down time. That's going to be my all over Australia chopper.
Got a front end I want to make in my mind apart from that. Skinny 35mm with covers. It will probably sit on the wall until the kids wanna use it or not. haha
Finally, What's your dream bike?
I'm a fucking lucky guy. I have built and ride my dream bike weekly, my '49 HD Pan (Lucid Dreams). The evo chopper is another dream bike and I can't wait to blast that spaceship all over the country?
Come visit you man.
